LG G7 Review Best Smart Phone Awaited ?

A weakness runs like a red thread through LG's mobile phone range: software. The new LG G7 One now eliminates this shortcoming and fulfills a long-cherished desire for LG fans. Has LG found the key to becoming successful in the smartphone market again?

Only a few months after its release, the LG G7 ThinQ has fallen by almost half in price * . LG's newest smartphone flagship combines a sleek design with excellent hardware. Why is the price drop so? A look at the test of the LG G7 ThinQ shows at least one cause: "Software a bit opaque and not thought to end," it says in the conclusion, among others. Traditionally, the software is one of the biggest criticisms of LG smartphones - a flaw that at least the new LG G7 One does not have to deal with.

LG G7 One: Android One without manufacturer customization or bloatware
The name already reveals it: The new G7 One is the first LG phone with Android One. Not only does the 6.1-inch smartphone run on a pure Android operating system without any customization or bloatware, the G7 One also regularly receives security and Android updates. Long waiting times for Android updates, which LG owners have suffered so far, are now a thing of the past with the G7 One.

Even apart from the software, the LG G7 One does not have to hide. The aforementioned 6.1-inch display is based on IPS technology, resolves at 3,120 x 1,440 pixels and offers a protracted 19.5: 9 format. Inside, the Snapdragon 835 processor works, which is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. The Qualcomm chip is already a year old, but it does not belong to the old iron yet and should still provide enough power in every situation.

LG G7 One: Narrowly sized data storage

On the other hand, the internal memory, which only covers 32 GB, is a little tight. An expansion option via microSD slot is available. The rechargeable battery is also sparse: 3,000 mAh are on the data sheet - there are no improvements here compared to the LG G7 ThinQ. With Quick Charge 3.0, however, a fast-charging technology is available.

Other features include a 16 MP main camera with f / 1.6 aperture and a 71-degree wide-angle lens. At the front works 8-MP camera with f / 1.9 aperture and 80-degree wide-angle function. A USB-C port is available as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. Rounding out the package is a 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, a dedicated Google Assistant button and protection against dust and water, even the military standard MIL-STD 810G.

Android One the key to smartphone success?

An official announcement of the LG G7 One and a price for the local market is still pending. Perhaps LG will present the smartphone as part of the IFA 2018 for Europe, which will begin in Berlin in a few days. The LG G7 One attracts interest due to the pure Android operating system with update warranty in any case. After years of deprivation, LG might have found the key with Android One to become successful in the smartphone market again - or what do you think?
